Are you wondering what nursing schools near mexico have to offer? It is actually quite easy to find a good school with a great curriculum and a great location. I know that some people do not like to think of their education as “entertainment”, but if you have never had a chance to see firsthand what the educational opportunities are for becoming a nurse, then you really have no idea what you are missing!
I have lived all of my adult life wanting to be a nurse. As a matter of fact, when I graduated high school I made my official intention to become a nursing assistant. I dreamed about nursing and it was one of the jobs that I would enjoy the most. But the reality was that there were no nursing schools in my local area. That was for two reasons.
One, they simply didn’t exist in my town or in my county at all. There were no hospitals in our area that had any type of nursing program so the closest we could get to a nursing school was a community college. That was it. I was, and still am, a bachelor’s degree person by trade. There just weren’t any opportunities for me to acquire another.
Two, there just wasn’t a good nursing program anywhere near me. There was one community college that was actually in my home town, but it was several miles away from where I wanted to go to school. The closest institution of higher learning to me was the University of Texas, which was about 15 miles away. Even with that, it was a great distance for a young nursing student to travel to. Luckily, that young lady who traveled to UT also wound up becoming one of the best nurses I ever met.
Luckily, I had access to some of the best nursing schools near me, and I wound up choosing one of them. A few months later, I was in the process of completing my nursing degree, and it was then that I really started looking for options. Sure, I had heard of the great nursing schools in New Mexico, but that wasn’t where I wanted to be. I wanted to go to an actual brick-and-mortar institution that offered a more traditional academic approach to nursing. That’s not what I found in New Mexico, though. They had some nice academics, but the rest of the curriculum was more suited for someone with an undergraduate degree in other fields.
I ended up going to nursing schools near mexico because I was able to find an institution that offered online courses. By taking those courses, I was able to bypass having to commute, and I got to study from the convenience of my own home. Now, if you’d like to pursue a nursing career, there are certainly options out there for you. Just make sure that you do your research!
